Shiraz

This is the first release under our new JYT Selection label, a concept which aims to achieve the highest quality wine from any given vintage, without the bounds of regional or varietal constraints.

It is a wine of great distinction and an example of how combining fruit from different regions can produce wines of distinct style and intensity. I have endeavours to differentiate this wine from our usual Hunter Valley style by adding some very intense McLaren Vale Shiraz to our excellent 2007 Pokolbin Shiraz. THe pedigree of this should ensure that under good conditions, it can be cellared for up to ten years. For future vintages of this wine I will again select parcel of fruit that achieve the best wine without fear of favour or region or variety
